first impressions

First Impressions. this is the "theme" for a photography contest i am entering. now what do you think of first when someone says "first impressions". a first date? job interview? gee i hope i don't have spinach in my teeth? when you google "first impressions" in the images section you find all sorts of fashionable business type people shaking hands and smiling.

needless to say i went in another direction. and here they are so far:

repurposing oceans

i am not entirely sure of the point i have in continuing this blog. the original purpose was "for the sharing of creative talents" while i was collaborating with my brother on the thesis project, (Quiet Ostinato) for which he composed and recorded the soundtrack.

i think now it may have to do with the fact that my two bffs are off accross the oceans and i want to join their blog-fest (well one is not so much blog-festing, more occasionally think that maybe people might possibly like to know what is happening in her life, sometimes). though, i shouldn't talk - this will probably turn out a lot like her spastic blog. it's just the way we are.

anywho, what has been happening in the life of a recently graduated student of photography? not too too much really. i just convocated last friday, that was sort of surreal - i am actually done school. what?? i have also been working on updating my website - o the joy of technology and HTML errors. and i also shot a wedding this past weekend, and am now working on the editing of the 1200 odd photos :D. here is one of the shots that i think is strangely cool; it's blurry and blown out - but interesting it think.
